Sometimes Words Will Not Come

There are times that our well is dry, and words won’t come. This is problematic for a writer committed to a weekly blog! Although I have few of these times, this is one of them. Beauty can stand alone and speak when words won’t come.

Mike and I were in our nation’s capital twice in the past two weeks for two different industry meetings. The first meeting was held at the MGM National Harbor. While the hotel had a casino, I never went into that area. But I walked past the beautiful display in the lobby several times a day and was in awe each time. This man-made display was unlike anything I have ever seen. However, as beautiful as the display in the MGM National Harbor was, it could not compare to God’s natural beauty. I was looking forward to seeing the cherry blossoms on our next trip.

Our second trip to DC had us staying at the Capital Hilton, a hotel located very close to the inner workings of our government. While there isn’t much beauty coming from our halls of government these days, there was some of nature’s beauty to behold, although not the cherry blossoms I had looked forward to. Too early for them.

I hope that the beauty captured in these photos will be the blessing to you that they were to me.
